The Biomedical Engineering Group at Graduate Institute of Applied Science and Technology was established along with the university in 2007. It aims to educate high level engineers and researchers for the biomedical industries. The program offers graduate course for doctoral degree and covers four main researching fields, namely Bioinformation, Bioelectronics, Biomechanics, and Biomaterials for the applications to Tissue Engineering, Artificial Implants Design, Medical Instrumentation, Biomedical Information, Medical Signal & Image Processing, Rehabilitation Device Design, New Drug Development and etc. The expertise of the faculty members is unique and rich in all aspects. We have extended our academic research with the cooperation of National Defense Medical Center, and Tri-service General Hospital. The researching outcomes will be expected to satisfy medical needs and to improve medical-care quality on the future human society.
